Dear Rusty, Your Aunt Marge Yale and I have been
wonderful friends and Sisters in Christ for 7 years. She led me to your blog today after hearing my young Grandson was in a terrible accident 2 months ago, and is now paralyzed from the waist down. He was a firefighter, and he and some of his friends were spending the day at the lake. He decided to take a swim, jumped out of the boat head first……unknowingly into 2 feet of water. You can only imagine what it did to his spine and vertabra’s..Surgery was done but the Dr’s. say he will never walk again. There is much more to his story also, but right now, I want to write about you, your suffering, your faith, and strength. WOW, you are an amazing man.
Rusty, my heart breaks for what you have been through. I haven’t had time yet to read all about your treatment in India, but believe me, I have your blog site now, and am very anxious to read everything about you in time.

Rusty, Thankyou very much for replying and letting me know your experience. This means a lot to me to take the treatment forward. I will continue to explore different options for treatment and will pray for you. I KNOW, there is ONE big healer, GOD, and that’s my hope. I will keep you posted if any treatment helps my father. I can’t tell you much about your inability to contact the right people to help you. If you don’t have access to the necessary medical help to assess your father, than there isn’t much you can do. Obviously you have acomputer and can access the Internet, so my recommendation is for your to “google” Dr. Geeta Shroff and/or NuTech Mediworld and look at their websites. There should be contact information there. I have not experienced any positive results from the stem cell treatments I received in India, only more pain. So, for me, it was not the way to go. Good luck with your father.

Rusty, Firstly, thankyou so much for posting about your condition and the hope that you have! I am from India and my father is in the same condition as you were; he is a paraplegic due to accidental fall from a ht of 18 ft. We are trying and looking for all possible treatments, but haven’t yet found that promising ‘one.’ Have you had any improvement till now? Can you pls let me know how u progressed with this treatment? We are from India, but haven’t been able to get a lead to reach such doctors that perform SCT. Can you provide the details like contact # or so? How much did the treatment cost you? I’d be greatful to you for this information. God bless you and your family!

Hi Andrew,
I really don’t think I have much to add. If you’ve already decided on and are planning to go to India for treatments, then you’ve gotten past the hard part, making the decision. If you have done any travelling outside of the US, especially to any third world countries, then you know that these countries do not operate like we do in the US. As long as you don’t have any preconcieved ideas on what to expect in India, prepare for ther worst and everything should be OK, after all it is a third world country with 1.2 billion people. The people of India are very gracious and kind, but everyone of them will look for ways to take advantage of you and take whatever money they can from you. Everyone is out to make a buck from you. Be ultra careful when out shopping and sightseeing as there are pick-pockets and thieves everywhere, and since you are a foreigner, you will be targeted. Have a positive atitude in regards to the treatments and work hard in rehab. Enjoy your stay and do as much as you are physically able to do. Be perpared, the food sucks unless you like Indian cuisine . Take care and good luck. Reading my blog will prepare you as much as me telling you stuff.

Me too Rusty, still checking on your healing process and all. It sounds like you are still experienceing some positive strides. Good luck on the work force. Have you ever considered publicly speaking about your experience? And how important it is to continue living ones life irregardless to the hardships. Anyhow, take care. Stay healthy.
